We Love Our Quilting Community

At High Country Quilts we care deeply about community. With our experiences in retail, we know that a store is not only a place to shop but also a place for the community to gather and share. During this busy holiday season please remember to support local businesses like ours because of our mission. Here’s why:

In-Person Gathering Space

  • High Country Quilts provides a physical space for quilters to gather. Our classroom and shop is a hub for local quilters, fabric enthusiasts, and sewists. It’s where you can bump into a friend or meet up for a casual shopping date. When you’re here, you get new ideas and inspiration for projects. Touch and feel fabric. See the latest machines and tools. It’s the ultimate watering hole for creativity!

Expert Guidance and Education

  • At High Country Quilts, our knowledgeable team is passionate about the craft. Having experts on hand allows both beginners and experienced quilters to seek advice, learn new techniques, and get recommendations for projects. This personalized guidance fosters a supportive learning environment and helps build connections between quilters of all different skill levels.

Local Artisan Support

  • We support our local talent. Our classes and supplies help to make your creative visions come to life. This not only boosts the regional economy but also builds a sense of pride and identity within the quilting community.

Community Events and Workshops

  • High Country Quilts frequently hosts events, workshops, and classes. These gatherings provide opportunities for quilters to come together, learn new skills, and share their experiences. Workshops, in particular, encourage collaboration, allowing participants to work side by side on projects and form lasting connections.

Hands-On Experience

  • Unlike online shopping, our physical shop allows customers to touch and feel fabrics, assess their quality, and see colors in person. This tactile experience is invaluable.

Building a Sense of Belonging

  • Our shop contributes to a quilter's sense of belonging within the broader community. Quilting is not just a solitary activity but a shared passion. We hope we can provide a space where quilters can invest more deeply in the community and foster long-lasting connections.

We love our vibrant community of makers! If you haven’t yet, take a look at our class offerings or stop in to meet us and our team. If you can’t make it in-person, join us on social media at Facebook! We are so happy to be a part of your creative journey.
