High Country Quilts, Sewing & Vacuums is owned by Adam and Renee Wheaton and proudly serves the quilting, embroidery, sewing, and creative community with two Colorado locations. Each store offers over 5,000 square feet of shopping, filled with inspiration, education, and more than 20,000 products in stock.
We are more than a retail store—we are a true project center for makers of all skill levels. Whether you are just getting started or have been sewing and quilting for years, our goal is to help you learn, create, and have as much fun as possible along the way.
Our Story
For more than 40 years, our family has owned and operated vacuum and sewing businesses. Following in Renee’s father’s footsteps, we purchased All Discount Vacuum and Sewing in Colorado Springs in 2019 and have been growing our family venture ever since.
When longtime High Country Quilts owners Jean Wilt and Karen Rellaford were ready to step back from day-to-day operations, we saw an amazing opportunity to grow a community, provide first-rate customer service, and offer high-quality products. Jean and Karen now get to focus on what they love most—teaching and sharing—and they continue to teach classes alongside our wonderful team of quilters, sewists, and fabric lovers.
We have a deep love of learning and are as enthusiastic about new sewing machines, fabric, and products as any customer who walks through the doors. Community means everything to us, and we look forward to getting to know you, one stitch at a time.

High Country Quilts carries a wide selection of beautiful fabrics, sewing and embroidery supplies, notions, machines, longarms, and vacuums. As an authorized BERNINA dealer, we offer BERNINA sewing machines and longarm quilting systems, along with the education and support customers need to get the most out of their machines. When you purchase a machine from High Country Quilts, we provide ongoing classes and guidance so you can feel confident using it.
