I enjoy the log cabin block and the nine patch block. Although both of these blocks are quite simple; they can be used in so many designs. In Twilight Grace I combined both blocks into one and then used it totally for all 36 blocks. Each block is a nine patch encased in a courthouse steps block (a log cabin variation). The blocks are colored in two different ways and then arranged to make a design of three crosses.

Twilight Grace uses a variation of the simple nine patch block to form a design of three crosses at dusk. The construction is easy and the quilt would look lovely in many different color combinations. Also, it makes a wonderful gift for someone special or for your own wall. Advanced beginner
