Quilters Select CutAway (Fusible) 15" x 10 yds

Quilters Select CutAway (Fusible) 15" x 10 yds

The temporary fusible coating on this sheer, soft, non-stretch cutaway creates a bond that prevents fabrics from stretching or distorting.

Use Quilters Select Cutaway Stabilizer for supporting T-shirt quilts, bias-cut pieces, or simply to keep blocks from moving while adding sashing or borders. Ideal for flawless turned edge applique with sealed edges – check out our project web page to learn this super technique!

Quilter's Select Cutaway Fusible is a midweight fusible web that features ultimate sheer softness and a unique flexible nature, perfect for embroidery, making T-Shirt Quilts and more.

Use instructions:

For a T-Shirt Quilt Block -

  • Cut piece of Select Cutaway Fusible at least one inch longer than T-Shirt block
  • Rough, fusible side affixes to wrong side of T-Shirt
  • Press with a medium-temperature iron, using a pressing cloth
  • Square block by trimming the excess Cutaway.

For stabilizing embroidery on knit fabric -

  • Cut piece of Select Cutaway Fusible at least one inch longer than embroidery frame size
  • Rough, fusible side affixes to wrong side of fabric
  • Press with a medium-temperature iron, using a pressing cloth
  • Place stabilized fabric in hoop and stitch
  • When complete, trim excess Cutaway
  • Note: You may need to reheat stabilizer to be able to remove from fabric.
