Portals - Quilt Pattern #436 by Mountainpeek Creations™ MPC

Portals is a pieced quilt pattern from Mountainpeek Creations™, designed by Kari Nichols. Large 14½" fat quarter blocks alternate with 6½" x 12½" accent rectangles, joined by 2½" sashing strips and an inner border. It is a fat quarter friendly design that sizes up cleanly from lap all the way to king.

Finished sizes

• Lap — 44½" x 60½" (2 accent + 3 big block fat quarters)
• Throw — 60½" x 76½" (4 + 6)
• Twin/Double — 76½" x 92½" (7 + 10)
• Queen — 92½" x 108½" (10 + 15)
• King — 108½" x 120½" (14 + 21)

Techniques used

• Fat quarter block piecing with sashing
• Based on a ¼" seam allowance

Good to know

Use fat quarters if your accent design is directional length of fabric, or ¼ yd. cuts if it is directional width of fabric.
