Poppin Out is a wall quilt that can be made by most quilters. The flowers are made with scraps and placed on a pieced background. I designed this quilt in honor of one of my favorite quilt artists, Tom Russell. He taught me that embel- lishment makes the quilt. In this pattern you will find directions for making the back- ground and patterns for the flowers and leaves. I hope you have as much fun as I did making bright, flashy flowers pop out on your wall quilt! Unless otherwise stated, all seam allowances are 1⁄4".
This wall quilt uses fusible machine applique with bits of your colorful scraps to make bright, flashy flowers pop out from the background.  This is a good place for your creativity to bloom and provides a great place for your beads and buttons too!
