Tumbler Stocking - Quilt Pattern #231 by Mountainpeek Creations™ MPC

Tumbler Stocking is a Christmas stocking pattern from Mountainpeek Creations™, designed by Kari Nichols and Kris Persun. The stocking front is pieced from tumbler shapes cut with the Creative Grids Single Strip Tumbler ruler, and the fabric requirements make two complete stockings. A monogramming strip is built in so each one can be personalized.

Special tool required

This pattern requires the Creative Grids Single Strip Tumbler ruler — it is not included, and the pattern cannot be made without it.

Fabric requirements (makes 2 stockings)

• Stocking inside — ⅔ yd.; backing — ⅔ yd.
• Monogramming strip — ¼ yd. or a fat quarter
• Holiday fabrics — (42) 5" squares, or equivalent scraps totalling (135) 2½" squares
• Craft size batting

Techniques used

• Tumbler piecing with a specialty ruler
• Based on a ¼" seam allowance
