Square Dancer is a pieced quilt pattern from Mountainpeek Creations™ built around fussy-cut 8½" block centers framed by Flying Geese units and alternating corner squares, which create a four-patch effect where the blocks meet. • Throw — 58½" x 74½"
• Double — 74½" x 90½"
• Queen — 90½" x 106½"

• Fussy cutting (centering a motif within the cut square)
• Flying Geese units
• Straight-set blocks with inner and outer borders
• Based on a ¼" seam allowance

Special tool required

This pattern is written for the Quilt-In-A-Day™ large 4" x 8" Flying Geese Ruler. You will need that ruler to follow the Flying Geese instructions as written.

Fabric requirements (Throw size)

• Block centers: ⅞ yd (extra may be needed for fussy cutting)
• Geese: ⅓ yd each of 3 fabrics
• Sky: ⅜ yd each of 4 fabrics
• Corner squares: ½ yd each of 2 fabrics
• Inner border ⅜ yd, outer border 1⅛ yd, binding ⅝ yd
• Backing 4⅔ yds, twin batting
