Shock Wave - Quilt Pattern #452 by Mountainpeek Creations™ MPC

Shock Wave is a precut friendly pieced quilt pattern from Mountainpeek Creations™, designed by Kari Nichols. The design is cut entirely from one set of 2½" strips — 39 of them — laid out in order before any cutting is done, so a jelly roll goes straight into the quilt. An accent, an optional inner border and an outer border finish it at a generous bed size.

• 72½" x 90½" (includes the optional inner border)

Fabric requirements

• One set of 2½" strips — 39 strips needed, or 2¾ yds. of yardage
• Accent — 1⅝ yds.; optional inner border — ⅜ yd.; outer border — 1½ yds.
• Binding — ⅔ yd.; backing — 5⅝ yds.; 80" x 100" batting

Techniques used

• Strip piecing with 2½" strips

Good to know

Strips need to be a minimum of 41" long, and the layout should be arranged in the order you want before making any cuts.
