Four Fun is a two fabric pieced quilt pattern from Mountainpeek Creations™, designed by Kari Nichols. The whole quilt is built from just two fabrics cut into strips, pieced into big four patch blocks, and finished with three borders — so fabric selection is as simple as picking a light and a dark you love.

Techniques used

• Strip piecing with 4½" and 2½" width-of-fabric strips
• Big four patch blocks
• Inner, middle and outer borders
• Based on a ¼" seam allowance

Fabric requirements

• Fabric #1 — 3½ yds (includes ⅜ yd for the inner border and 1¼ yds for the outer border)
• Fabric #2 — 2⅜ yds (includes ½ yd for the middle border)
• Binding — ⅔ yd
• Backing — 4⅔ yds
• Batting — twin size

Good to know

If your width of fabric does not measure 43", you will need an extra outer border strip.
