Around The Block is a pieced quilt pattern from Mountainpeek Creations™, designed by Kari Nichols. A center panel or theme fabric is framed with a narrow panel border, then surrounded by paw blocks made from four dark and four light fabrics, and finished with an inner and outer border. It is a fast way to build a full quilt around a single favourite print.
Finished size
49½" x 67½"
Techniques used
- Rotary cutting from width-of-fabric strips
- Paw block piecing from four dark and four light fabrics
- Panel border, inner border and outer border construction
Good to know
The center is cut 17½" x 35½" from a panel or theme fabric, centering the design. If the theme fabric is directional along the length of fabric, more yardage is needed. A 3½" square ruler with a 45 degree line is suggested.
Mountainpeek Creations™ pattern #358. Proudly made in the USA.
