9 Easy Pieces is a pieced quilt pattern from Mountainpeek Creations™, designed by Kari Nichols. The quilt is built from a set of coordinating print fabrics — six for the lap size, twelve for twin and twenty-four for queen — separated by sashing and framed with an inner and outer border. Each print needs only ⅓ yard, so it is an easy way to work through a coordinating collection.

Finished sizes

• Lap — 49½" x 61½"
• Twin — 61½" x 85½"
• Queen — 85½" x 109½"

Fabric requirements

• Lap — (6) ⅓ yd print fabrics
• Twin — (12) ⅓ yd print fabrics
• Queen — (24) ⅓ yd print fabrics

Yardage is also charted for sashing and inner border, outer border, binding and backing, plus the batting size needed.

Good to know

If the print fabrics are directional along the length of fabric, ⅔ yard will be needed for each directional print.
