Canadian Flag Quilt Pattern. The finished size is 31x20 inches, perfect for a wall hanging or center piece.

The white square in the center is 17x20. You could use this pattern to make a fall maple leaf quilt with scrap fabric you need 9 inches of the color fabric to make the leaf.

A customer saw my American Flag quilt pattern and asked if I ever thought of making a Canadian Flag. I was worried about the angles needed to make the maple leaf, but using Half Rectangle Triangles (HRT) and my usual half square triangles (HST) I was able to traditionally piece together this maple leaf quilt pattern.

I added leaf lines for quilting along with stitch in the ditch to tack things down.
