Can I use off-brand bobbins?
We recommend using only BERNINA quality bobbins, because off-brand bobbins can cause unsatisfactory thread tension and other problems.
What embroidery formats can be used?
Formats of various brands can be used: EXP, DST, PES, PEC, JEF, PCS, SEW, and XXX.
How much thread does the Jumbo Bobbin hold?
A Jumbo Bobbin holds approximately 100 m of thread, depending on the thread. The lower-thread sensor notifies you when about 10% (approximately 10 m) remains.
Which embroidery hoop should I use?
Always use the smallest possible hoop the motif will allow for the best results.
Does the machine work with the BERNINA Stitchout App?
Yes. With WiFi enabled on the machine and your smartphone on the same network, the Stitchout App lets you monitor the embroidery process remotely.
How often should the machine be oiled?
Oiling frequency depends on the number of stitches sewn. Place a drop of oil on the hook race before long sewing sessions, or at least when the machine prompts you.
