Memories Table Runner is a pieced table runner pattern from Mountainpeek Creations™, designed by Cathy Smith — a small project rather than a bed quilt. Framed theme fabric squares alternate with scrappy nine patch blocks made from 2½" squares, so charm squares and jelly roll strips both work here. Two lengths are given from the same instructions.

Finished sizes

• Small runner — 14½" x 40½" (6 charm squares, (86) 2½" accent squares)
• Large runner — 14½" x 52½" (8 charm squares, (110) 2½" accent squares)

Fabric requirements

• Theme fabric — 6 or 8 charm squares, or ¼ yd
• Frames — ¼ yd (small) or ⅓ yd (large)
• Accent squares — (86) or (110) 2½" squares
• Binding — ⅓ yd or ⅜ yd
• Backing — 1¼ yds or 1⅝ yds
• Batting — crib size

Good to know

Yardage for the 2½" squares varies with how much variety you want. ½ yd to 1⅛ yds, or 6 to 9 jelly roll strips, will yield the number of squares required. These squares are used to make the nine patch blocks.
