Button Holes - Quilt Pattern #388 by Mountainpeek Creations™ MPC

Button Holes is a fat quarter friendly pieced quilt pattern from Mountainpeek Creations™. Each fat quarter is cut into 4½" x 12½" rectangles and a narrow strip that becomes small pieced segments, so the finished blocks read as slots or button holes set into narrow sashing. It is charted in five sizes from baby through king, and there are cutting instructions for a fat-quarter-only version as well as a version using accent squares.

• Baby — 44½" x 54½" (6 fat quarters)
• Throw — 54½" x 70½" (9 fat quarters)
• Twin — 64½" x 86½" (14 fat quarters)
• Queen — 81½" x 102½" (23 fat quarters)
• King — 104½" x 118½" (34 fat quarters)

Techniques used

• Rotary cutting fat quarters into 4½" x 12½" rectangles
• Strip piecing and subcutting into 2½" x 4½" segments
• Sashing, row sashing, inner border and outer border construction
• All measurements based on a ¼" seam allowance

Good to know

Fat quarters must measure 20½" after the selvage is removed.
