**Pat Syta** began sewing at twelve and started quilting in 1991. Herfirst project was an ambitious eighteen-block queen-sized quilt. Twoyears later, she started teaching quilting in Anchorage, Alaska. Patspecializes in teaching beginners but enjoys instructing students of alllevels and taking advanced classes herself.

**Mimi Hollenbaugh** began quilting in 1983 and has constantly hadprojects in progress since then. She loves applique but enjoys variousforms of quilting and needlework. Mimi spent nearly ten years inEngland, where she worked and taught at Puddleduck’s Quilt Shop,designed quilts for Makower Fabrics, and co-authored a children's quiltbook. She returned to Colorado in 2011.
